27 – John’s Teaching Rocks the Temple

John teaches in the nights
John in the evenings of the nights
John teaches in the nights and says:
“Is there anyone greater than I?
They measure all of my works
Counting they count my wage,
and they raise up my wreath (for) my praise
within my group.”

Joseph leaves the house of the people
Benjamin leaves the temple
Eleazar the great house leaves the dome of the priests.
The priests speak to John in Jerusalem, saying,
“John, leave from our town!
John, leave from our city!
At your voice the house of the people quaked!
At the sound of your teaching the temple quaked!
At the sound of your refrains the dome of the priests quaked!”

John speaks to the priests in Jerusalem, saying,
“Bring fire and burn me!
Bring a sword and cut me!”

The priests spoke to John in Jerusalem, saying,
“Fire will not burn you, John,
For the name of life is mentioned over you.
A sword will not cut you, John,
For the son of life dwells here upon you.”

And life is victorious
